Mr. Thomas E. "Tommy" Boland Sr.

Tommy was a wonderful man, a leader and colleague. He was also a minister to me. I was guest in the Boland home as we had planned to spend a couple of days planning the next year's priorities for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. We enjoyed dinner and conversation. After midnight, Tommy knocked on my door to wake me and told me that he had received a phone call from my wife, Carolyn, telling of my father's death. I was crushed. But Tommy ministered to me, prayed with me, stood as I called Carolyn, and then took me to the airport to return home. I'll never forget his kindness.

Tommy Boland was a great man! I have many stories I could share but there isn't enough space. If I started I could not finish. Camp Rutledge was the most important part of my youth. Thank You!!!
