Thomas R. Born

On October 22, 2024, Thomas Robert Born, peacefully went home to be with the Lord. He was 87.

Mr. Born was born on October 25, 1936, in Paterson, N.J. to the late William and Anne Born.

Bob, as he was known to his New Jersey friends, graduated from Teaneck High School in 1955.

After high school, he honorably served our country in the Army.

He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Bergen County Parks Commission, and then as a Shuttle Driver for Hewlett-Packard, and finally retiring from Frederick County Roads as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Tom, as he is known to his Delaware friends, was a member of St. John’s the Apostle Catholic Church. 

He was an avid walker and enjoyed socializing with his neighbors and church members, and meeting with his coffee buddies in the morning.

Mr. Born is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cyndy Born. He is also survived by his daughter, Jennifer Heath, his granddaughter, Ashleigh Goodwin, and his sister in law, Lisa Mierop and her husband Roger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, William and Joseph Born.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Johns the Apostle Church, 506 Seabury Ave., Milford at 11AM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the church.
