I just heard of Tom's passing today - my sincere sympathies to Tom's family. Anyone who played with or against Tom will never forget him - he loved the game and the game loved him back. Tom was an outstanding pitcher who knew how to get the most out of his ability - extremely smart on the mound. Tom's most endearing trait was that he made the game fun whether you were playing with or against him. Tom will be dearly missed - RIP my friend.

Some of my fondest memories include Tom during our baseball years. He was certainly blessed with talent and his mental toughness. Existence continues, therefore we´ll hear him reminiscing his stories all over again!

When I was playing baseball at Tri-C West, we went out to Arizona for our Spring games. One year, in 1975, Tom and others came to join us during our trip. At the beginning of that trip, I was severely injured during an inter squad game resulting in me staying in the hotel room for the duration of our time in Arizona. Tom Borowy selflessly stayed by my side each day of the trip, helping me as I struggled to regain playing status. I managed to do so before the end of the trip with no small degree of help and concern by one Thomas Borowy. I never forgot nor will I ever not be grateful to Tom for his kind acts.......over many days. Rest in peace Tom. You will always have a place in my heart!

I loved facing Tom in the Plain Dealer AAA baseball league when I was in college. He would stare you down, trash talk between pitches, and then throw one of his 18 different pitches from 5 different arm angles. RIP Mr. Borowy.

I would like to extend my sympathy to the Borowy family. When Tom was the baseball coach at Kirtland, he brought a wealth of knowledge and good humor to the athletes at Kirtland. I enjoyed having him as our baseball coach and working with him. I´ll always remember "Borowy´s Ballers" May he rest in peace.
