Thomas Kenneth Brewer

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Kenneth Brewer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Reverend James White officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Brewer, 93, of Dry Prong, entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Kenneth was born on December 20, 1932, in Yoakum, Texas, to Rosella and George Brewer. He was the 12th child. He was raised on the family farm, where they grew and sold tomatoes. He learned to drive his father's wooden school bus at an early age. He went to St. Joseph Catholic School up till the 8th grade, when he asked his mother and father to sign a release for him to leave school and go to work with his brothers at Autrey Drilling Company.
Kenneth met his wife in 1950, at a family reunion picnic. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1953, and attended bootcamp in Fort Bliss, Texas. In January 1954, he received orders that he was going to Germany. Kenneth and Mildred married on March 2, 1954, in Gonzales, Texas. He proudly served in the army from May 26, 1953, to April 20, 1955.
Upon returning home, he returned to Autrey Drilling Company. Due to his job, the family moved all over the southern states. He retired in 1980, after twenty-five years of dedicated service. He then went to work in Alexandria at the Exxon Station on Mac Arthur Drive where he worked for thirty-three years.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of seventy-one years, Mildred Brewer; four children, Kenneth Michael Brewer, Terry Brewer, Tamrah Harden and Alisa Stolmeier; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Kevin Brewer, Mark Brewer, Tim Brewer, Pat Brewer, Cody Brewer, and Kyle Brewer.
The family would like to thank Veterans Hospital and Cabrini Hospice Care, and a special thanks to Betsy Rainwater, Tabatha Jones, and Chaplin James White.
