Thomas Cerullo Obituary
Thomas "Tom" Cerullo, a cherished son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024 at the age of 71.
Born in Paterson, NJ and raised in Lincoln Park, NJ, Tom lived his last 20+ years living his dream on the farm he built and loved in Upstate New York. He was a graduate of Boonton High School (1971) and attended County College of Morris in Randolph, NJ. Tom worked for Shop-Rite of Lincoln Park for many years before retiring 20 years ago to live on his farm.
Tom's passions were his family, friends, animals, traveling and cooking - his apple pies are legendary. His generosity knew no bounds and his kind spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. Tom leaves a legacy of kindness and good times. He was always there to help someone or go on an adventure. May his memory bring a smile to all those that knew him.
Tom is survived by his brother, Gary Cerullo (Linda); his sister, Gail Pisarcik (Frank); his nephews Michael Cerullo (Jill), Brian Pisarcik (Stacey), Heath Pisarcik & Jordan Pisarcik (Edlyn). His great nephews and nieces: Austin, Hannah and Nathan Cerullo, Jake, Amanda & Kyle Pisarcik and his newest little great nephew, Ethan Pisarcik. His Aunts; Laurie Phillips, Joyce Shafer and Betty Shafer and many cousins and friends.
Tom was predeceased by his parents; Patrick and June (Shafer) Cerullo; his nephew Brett Cerullo and his niece, Kim Pisarcik.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at The Renaissance Care Facility in Lincoln Park for the loving care they gave Tom his last 9 months.
Tom was laid to rest at Greensprings Natural Cemetery Preserve in Newfield, NY. Arrangements were carried out by Bangs Funeral Home in Ithaca, NY.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
