Thomas John Cooper passed away November 7, 2025, at the age of 74.
Tom spent his childhood in Everly, Iowa with his parents Gerald “Jerry” Cooper and Bernice (nee Back) Cooper Tripp and his brother Tim.
He graduated from Everly High School with the class of ’69. He played football at both ILCC, Estherville, Iowa and Morningside College, Sioux, Iowa graduating in 1973.
Tom married his high school sweetheart, Carol Sheehan December 27, 1972. They moved to Milford, Iowa, where Tom coached the high school football team for a few years. Tom and Carol were blessed with two daughters, Jill and Amy.
He transitioned his summer job at Moeller’s to become the area’s well known and dependable appliance repairman at Mollers/Melanders. Tom’s well-deserved retirement at 62 meant moving to Waukesha, Wisconsin to live close to his grandchildren.
Tom was loyal to his Iowa Hawkeyes, Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. One of his hobbies was growing vegetables in his backyard garden.
Tom will be missed by his wife Carol; daughters, Amy Cooper of Pendleton, Indiana and Jill (Eli) Larson; grandchildren, Claire and Colin Larson all of Waukesha, Wisconsin; brother, Tim (Pat) Cooper of Indianola, Iowa; Cooper cousins, one niece, three nephews, two aunts and many good friends.
At this time there will be no formal service.
