1949-2023
On June 2nd, Thomas Max Cummings passed away peacefully at 4PM. He was born on August 13, 1949 in Wedowee to Thomas Winston Cummings and Maudine Lexer Boggs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Joyce (Bobby) Tittle, Ann (Bill) Walls, two brothers, Harold Cummings, Jimmy Cummings.
He is survived by his wife and the love of his life for 53 years, 2 sons; Jeremy Wayne (Sharon), Stuart Randall ( Mistie Blue) and one daughter, Melinda Faye (Jerry) Noblitt, one brother; Kayron Cummings (Louise Brasher), two sister-in-laws; Brenda Cummings, and Barbara Mailer Cummings, 3 granddaughters he adored, Auburn (Gary) Loomis, Courtney (Neil Meadows), Madison Cummings (Mason Hadaway), 2 grandsons; Mason Thomas Noblitt and Tiger Max Cummings, 2 great-granddaughters who he loved dearly, Nevaeh Isabell Cummings, and Harper Elizabeth Loomis, sister-in-laws; Carolyn Renty, Jackie Adamson, Sheree Orr (Kyle) and brother; Jay Watkins(Sally).
Please if you can be an organ donor, please do so, this was close to mine and Max's heart! He may not be here physically but his body and legacy will live on for many years to come.
Visitation will be on Sunday, June 11, at 2:00PM in the 3:16 Building of First Baptist Church of Opelika with Memorial Service to follow at 3:00PM. Dr. Jeff Meyers, Dr. Rusty Sowell and Pastor Bruce Hill will be officiating.

in honor of our son, Jeremy, 52 years old, and our 5 month old great-granddaughter Harper and to the men's ministry at First Baptist Church. Max loved his church and he loved his choir and Sunday School class.
