Our deepest condolences to the entire Curto family for your deep loss.
Yes we had many different interfaces with Tom Curto over the years, going way back to husband Tom Dion working with him on the chicken barbecues and later seeing him selling furniture for the tag sale. Tom was always quick with a joke and just loved the banter of talking with people. A lot of people loved coach Curto. Never knew him in that genre but I can imagine he was quite in his element and well loved. He was a people person and was his best when surrounded by others and in the sports arenas of life. I can picture him riding the 360° mower at St Francis Church, as his age and health dictated getting into the slow lane. He will be greatly missed.

I can't imagine he ever realized it, but I can trace so much good in my life directly back to Tom having been a part of it. Thanks for the confidence and the complexes... "Swing and run, Seth!" All my love to the Curto family.

My best memory was a thumbs up, and a smile, followed by a "that´s it"... When Tom`s son, Tommy and I played baseball in fifth and sixth grade for the VFW, I pitched. All I knew how to throw was a fastball. One day big Tom said."Hey Josh throw this next guy your change up"... I had no idea what he was talking about. I did my best to answer the call. What I threw was absolutely not a change up, but the kid swung and missed. I looked over at big Tom. He had on a big smile, gave me the thumbs up... "thats it". I was happy to run into him a few times over the past few years where we could compare our grey beards... Tom was one of a kind. Thanks Tom.

I have so many fond memories of Tom. He was always there to help the Rec Department with our kids sports; first time I ever heard the expression "Can of Corn". The day a nine yr old asked Coach why he couldn´t pitch and Tom asked the kid " I don´t know, why Can´t u pitch. Or telling a 6 year old he swung like a girl in a co-Ed league. My son loved playing for Tommy. He was not only one of my favorite coaches but also one of my favorites people. He was just a great guy and I will miss him. To the Curto family my thoughts and prayers are with. So sorry for your loss.
