Thomas A. D'Andrea, beloved by his family and a sports enthusiast, passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on May 1, 1956, Thomas lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and a deep love for his family and friends.
Thomas is remembered fondly for his unwavering devotion to his family. He cherished the time spent together, especially during the holidays, when celebrations brought everyone closer. His excitement for life was matched by his love for all Chicago Sports teams.
In addition to his love for family and sports, Thomas found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly cutting the grass and riding his bike. He loved living at Good Shepherd Manor and he considered all the staff and residents as part of his family. He had a special fondness for music, often found listening to and singing along to the timeless melodies of The Beatles, which served as a soundtrack to many of his cherished moments.
Thomas is survived by his loving sisters, Mary (Lud) Streck and Karen D'Andrea. He will be lovingly remembered by his nephew and niece, David (Kathie) Streck and Laurie (Steve) Walton, as well as his great nephew and nieces, Jack, Emma, Grace, Ava, and Keira.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Armand and Ann D'Andrea, and his brother, Bob D'Andrea. Their memories are held dearly in the hearts of those who remain, as Thomas’s spirit continues to inspire and uplift his family.
Thomas A. D'Andrea's legacy of love, kindness, and enthusiasm for life's simple joys will forever resonate with those who had the privilege of knowing him.
