Thomas “Tommy” Nelson Davis, 59, of Carrollton passed on Monday, August 28, 2023. He was the son of Parks Davis and Mary Alice Harrison Davis. He is also survived by his wife of 40 years, Della “Didi” Kaye Lillis Davis; sons, John Davis (Michelle), Benjamin “Beni” Davis and Maurice “Miki” Davis; grandchildren, Madison, Skylar, Parks, Paisley and Delilah; sister, Tina D. Mace (Kenny); niece, Breann Valentin and nephew, Brett Valentin.
Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son. He worked for Isle of Wight County for 27 years and was currently the Buildings and Maintenance Manager for the Department of Public Works. He married the love of his life, Didi Lillis, on April 2, 1983 and they had just celebrated their 40 th anniversary. Tommy and Didi had three boys which had him spending a lot of time at the ballfield. He loved coaching them or just being there to cheer them on. A dedication that followed on to his grandson, Parks. Tommy was always there in the stands for his games. Tommy loved football, spending time with his grandkids, taking his Harley out for long drives and vacationing with the family in Nags Head. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at noon at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield. Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com.
