Hello Tommy, we miss you so much and are thinking of you. Devils Lake has now lost both of their extreme climbing icons as we lost Pete Cleveland last year. We will always honor your many contributions and 1st ascents. Love, Rudy Rudotis.

Tommy mentored many young climbers including me, Rudy Rudotis (Jim Rudolph). Whether it was our 1st ascent of the Cathedral Point in the Beartooth range, our cross country hitchhiking adventures, our Hollywood and Vine ascent of the Devils Tower, or climbing 17 stories up the Pillsbury building in winter, you could always count on Tommy for a good time. I miss you Tommy, and thank you for all you did to help me when I was young. Hoop-Hoop!

Tommy left a lot of memories with a lot of people. Pretty fond memories for many of us. We always felt fortunate to climb as much as we did with him. Not to mention the hours spent laughing along with him and enjoying his colorful stories. Rest in peace Tommy!

We have so many great memories climbing at the Lake and camping at Green Valley (aka Tommyland). Who else has a campground named after them? Unassuming, welcoming, always laughing - that's how I'll remember Tommy. Oh, and coming down to the fire just in shorts and a shoulder holster.
