Thomas "Tom" Doss

Thomas "Tom" Doss, 88, of Hopkinsville, KY passed away peacefully at his home at 6:32 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Tom was born on July 12, 1937, in Christian County, Kentucky, to the late Nathan Robert Doss and Margaret Lucinda Johnson Doss. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a charter member of Southside Church of Christ where he had led singing and had served as a Deacon.

Tom spent 37 years working as a Route Salesman with Frito-Lay, a job he took pride in and through which he built many lasting friendships in the community. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet kindness, and the way he showed up for the people he loved.

Above all else, Tom was devoted to his family. He shared 69 years of marriage with his wife, Angelea Campbell Doss, and together they built a home full of love, faith and support that will continue to be felt for many generations.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his siblings: Minor Ray Doss, Mary Doss Losch, Bob Doss, Dorothy Doss Stevens, Paul Doss, William "Bill" Doss, and James Doss.

He is survived by his wife, Angelea; his children: Jeffrey Thomas (Karen) Doss of Lexington, KY; Steven Campbell (Dee Ann) Doss of Campbellsville, KY; and Cynthia Marie "Cindy" Doss (Tim) Noel of Hopkinsville, KY; his brothers: Al Doss of Hopkinsville, KY and Mike (Janice) Doss of Paducah, KY; his sisters: Betty Doss Riddle and Margaret Doss (Joe) McCorkle both of Lexington, KY; his grandchildren: Jacob Thomas (Jessica) Doss, Aaron Tanner (Martita) Doss, Sara McKenzie Doss (Stephen) Doodian, Caroline Noel (Austin) Hayes, Kathryn Boyd (Dylan) Wright, Alexander Campbell (Meghan) Doss, and Ethan Kirk (fiancé Elaina Parker) Noel; and nine GREAT grandchildren who brought him great joy.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026 at Southside Church of Christ with Phil Dunn officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 6, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Tom will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his love for his family, his faith and the way he loved to sing.
