Thomas Eady Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Your Traditions Cremation and Funeral Chapel on Apr. 28, 2025.
Thomas Eady, also known as "Tom","Tommy", "Tom Tom", "Dad", and "Grandpa", passed away on March 29, 2025 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital - Venice, Florida, after a short illness. Tom was born in Cleveland, Ohio.He is survived by his beloved parents Lois and Dennis Eady, daughter Melanie Eady, son Harrison Eady and grandson Theodore Eady, as well as sister Heather Eady Germond, (Chris) Germond, nephew Marshall Germond, sister Sharon Poe, nephew Rick Ewing, and niece Stephanie Dionian. Also including additional relatives out west. Tommy grew up in the beautiful small town of Magnolia, located in Gloucester Massachusetts from the age of 5. Residing right down the road from the Atlantic Ocean, it was the place he says he couldn't have had a better childhood. From newspapers to word around town he always knew how to make his mark. Including his memorable "Eady" dives off the end of the Magnolia Pier. Kids from across town are still carrying on that "Magnolia tradition" today. Tom was an all star athlete and is most renowned for his left handed pitching in the Cape Ann area. There wasn't a sport he couldn't catch onto quickly and dominate. The Magnolia area was truly the best place to have grown up.Later in life, Tom developed an everlasting love for riding his Harley and chasing sunsets. When he was home, he loved spending time with his cat Mia, and treated her like a queen. They are now together in the arms of the man upstairs. Tom was known for his strength, determination, and his witty character. He had potential like no other. His love of his family, and passion for all Boston sports as well as enjoying the outdoors, were not unnoticed. As a believer, his faith in God carried him throughout his adventurous journey called " life". Per his wishes, he will have ashes spread off the Magnolia Pier along with having a lawn memorial placed in the historic Magnolia Cemetery, which is directly across the street from his childhood home. A celebration of life will be held there on a "to be determined" date this summer 2025. For Tom's friends and family that reside in Florida, there will also be a celebration of life held on May 17th, at Siesta Key Beach, 5pm to gather and conclude the evening with one of his favorite views, the setting sun. Those who wish to honor Tom's memory may do so by celebrating life as if it's their last. To hug your loved ones tight, laugh until it hurts, and to appreciate every little detail of this wondrous world we live in! He will be missed, but he will always be in our hearts.
