Thomas "Tom" Eilers, age 56, of Madison, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at his home. Tom was born on January 21, 1958 in East St. Louis, IL, a son to the late, Thomas F. and Virginia "Snooky" (Daugherty) Eilers. Tom was a United States Army veteran who proudly served his country. Tom will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by one sister, Robin Eilers; and his former wife and buddy, whom he joined in heaven on Christmas Eve, Sherri Lee Grzywacz. Tom is survived by his loving son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Megan Eilers of Madison, IL; loving daughter, Chelsea Rexroad of Roodhouse, IL; dear grandfather to Brianna Eilers, Madelyn Eilers and Vanessa Rexroad; fiancé, Toni Pyke of Madison, IL; one sister, Nancy Eilers; extended family and many friends. Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL.
