Thomas Eppler

Thomas Eppler, age 80, of Erie, PA., passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. He was born on April 19, 1943, a son of the late Donald and Ellen Sheridan Eppler.
Tommy attended St. Joseph School in Dunkirk, New York and was the first student in the adult workshop at the Dr. Gertrude Barber Center. He continued to be a resident of the Barber Center for the rest of his life, enjoying many activities and making many friends.
Tommy enjoyed his family and going to camp in the summer. Among his favorite things were cartoons, coloring, going shopping, and going out to eat. He was a joy to be around and is going to be missed by
everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father and mother, sisters Jane and Ann, and his brother Richard.
He is survived by sister Nora (Joseph) Green of Tempe, Arizona, sister Sharon (Anthony) DeFranco of Yuma, Arizona, niece Susan Reddinger of Erie, Pennsylvania, nephew Owen Niland of Denver, Colorado, nephew
Mario DeFranco of Sahuarita, Arizona, and nephew Marc DeFranco of Chandler, Arizona.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Barber Center group home and Family Hospice of Erie for the care they provided to Tommy.
Services will be announced at a later date. The Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Gertrude Barber Center in Erie, Pennsylvania and the Family Hospice of Erie UPMC.
