Thomas "Tom" Walters Ezzolo, 85, of Hawthorne CA, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, after a brief illness. He was a devout Roman Catholic.

Tom was born on September 2, 1940, in Olean. He was one of seven children born to the late Joseph and Mary Helen (Dubetsky) Ezzolo and grew up in Duke Center.

After graduating from Otto-Eldred High School in 1959. Tom moved to Torrence CA where he met the love of his life, Sharon Marie Timmsen. After getting married, they moved to Hawthorne, CA where they raised two sons. Tom and Sharon were married for 51 years before she passed away in June of 2021.

After first moving to Hawthorne, Tom began his career with McDonnell Douglas at the Long Beach, CA installation, where he worked as an Aerospace Engineer.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph (Suzette) Ezzolo of Long Beach, CA, and John Ezzolo and his partner, Michele of San Pedro, CA. Tom frequently talked about how proud he was of his sons and their career and personal accomplishments. He often mentioned how much he appreciated the meals and visits from his family over the years. He was an avid golfer and "pool shark", he was known for being a good listener, maintaining an interest in discussing current events, being frugal and having the ability to see the humor in any situation.

Tom is survived by brothers Daniel (Debi) Ezzolo and David (Patti) Ezzolo, and one sister Catherine (Jim) Gocella in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and long-time friends, not to mention an adoring trio of pet cats.

In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased in death by one sister, Joan Coast, and two brothers, Joseph Dean Ezzolo and Robert C. Ezzolo.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
