I wish to express my sincere condolences to the extended Fiore family for Tommy's death. Like others commenting here, I knew Tommy from my first day of work at Norwalk Hospital. Over the years, I saw him at all hours of the day and night, in every department. He is the typical "bedrock" that people in the community must always remember. He supported the mission of the hospital through snowstorms, hurricanes, holidays, weekends, nights -- even the COVID-19 pandemic. When help was needed, he showed up. What set Tommy apart was he did this for decades, literally working through two generations of employees. As just one example of his dedication, he would often be in the middle of his work, yet wouldn't hesitate to help me with a patient's bed, an elevator problem, or simply finding linen supplies for the call room. He will be missed by all who knew how much he contributed to patient care in all his years of unsung service.

I was a travel nurse where Thomas worked from 2017-2019. He befriended me and we talked frequently about St Louis Cardinals baseball !! He was a kind soul and I enjoyed our many conversations. I was so sad to hear of his passing. Sending condolences to his family. Fly high my friend. See you on the other side.

I knew Tommy since I have been at Norwalk Hospital and he knew one of my sons was a fan of the old wrestlers. Tommy enjoyed wrestling and would always come to me and talk about old wrestlers back in the day. It was a pleasure talking with Tommy, he always had me laughing. RIP Tommy

I knew Tommy (for 40+ years) since he was a young man, and have fond memories of him coming into the ICU to deliver the laundry with a smile on his face. He was a quiet and kind person who wouldn't hurt a fly. Tommy was a diligent employee who did his job every day without complaint. I was shocked to hear he was let go, and even more saddened hearing of his passing. RIP Tommy, and sincere condolences to his family. Tommy was a good man.

Mom, I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Tommy´s passing. I know he loved Norwalk hospital and was proud of the work he did there, as well as of the community that surrounded him. May Tommy´s legacy be honored by continued support and professional development for all Norwalk Hospital personnel, so that they are aware of modern-day workplace expectations and have necessary supports in place to learn from and navigate any professional situation. I am happy to hear my uncle left such a positive mark on the Norwalk Hospital community. Keep looking out for one another.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I saw Tommy most days at work and he was always ready with a smile and pleasant "hello." I know many from the hospital knew and loved Tommy, and missed seeing him after his sudden departure from there. I hope the memories you have with Tommy will comfort you during this time.
