Grandpa, it's been many years since you passed. I'm still not sure, being about half way through life, if I'll ever find somebody I care for more than you. The COVID exposure Nancy talked about below is over, and life resumes as it was. The big thing now is AI, which is going to replace everybody's jobs, unless your a working man. After so long Grandpa, not many days go by where I don't think about you. I think about your courage, your heart, your drive, your love for family, the time you spent with me, over a decade getting me ready for life, teaching me how to fix things, personal responsibility, and taking life by the horns. I don't know why I'm writing this online, when I could just talk to you anytime I want, but at this moment in time, it feels right. You were by far the most loving in your family, and the things that happened after you passed, I won't fill you in on till I'm with you in heaven. I miss you a great deal, and I hope to see you again one day. That would really make me happy. Much love!

Dear Tom , A lot has changed since you left this earth. You would have to get used to masks and a lot of plexiglass . We won’t even get into politics . I hope you are enjoying God and all his angels. Sweet dreams. Sincerely Nancy

You couldn't pass by the front desk at Fitness Pointe without Tom belting out a friendly greeting addressing most members by name. Tom was a proud, good man with a lot of character who will be remembered and missed by many people.

Tom, Thanx for being such a great guy to me and all of the guys that played on my Bruin hockey teams. Hope to someday see you again, up there in heaven. And yes, you'll still yell at me to pass the puck more! Love ya Tommy!

I had the honor of meeting and working with Tom. I will miss him deeply. Tom had such a great sense of humor and a contagious smile. I will miss our talks, our laughs, our cookie nights and most of all I will miss you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. We hope the joyful memories will soon replace these painful ones and we hope you find comfort in each other and in the love and support of your friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your father had to be a great man because he was responsible for raising you, and character in The Children is a reflection of the character of the parents.

Very sorry to learn of your loss.

I am so sad to hear of Tom's passing. He was a special person. I will miss being greeted by him at Fitness Pointe and our discussions about family and flowers. Keeping Tom and his family in my prayers.

I didn't know Tom for long. However, from the first time I met Tom at Fitness Pointe, I knew this guy was a special person. We talked about being a veteran as we both were and how proud he was to serve. I will miss his sense of humor and kindness. Never without a smile was Tom. I'll especially miss his announcement at Fitness Pointe, The Fitness Centee will be closing on one hour, ONE HOUR. I can hear the military strictness still in him. As Elvis Presley would often say, until we meet again, may God bless you as he has blessed me. God bless Tom's family.

Mr. Fissinger will always be considered a HERO for serving our country. May God hold you in his loving arms. Rest in Peace.

I remember the brothers when they lived on Colfax in So. Chicago and I lived on 81st Street.Their cousin Mary Ann (Camel) and I,were friends with her family.Rest in Peace Tom and Eternal Rest.
