Thomas Flanery Obituary

Executive chef de cuisine, devoted husband, father & grandfather
Thomas P. Flanery, 72, of Hamilton Township, PA, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024, while under hospice care in his home. He was the husband of Rebecca Ladiana-Flanery with whom he was together for 43 years and shared 38 years of marriage.

Born in Medina County, OH, he was the son of the late Thomas W. and Patricia (Sullivan) Flanery and lived in Monroe County since 1993, moving from Staten Island.

Thomas was an executive chef de cuisine at numerous successful restaurants in the New York City area. He retired early and devoted his life to raising his two daughters, Chelsea Mae and Amelia Morgan.

He was an incredibly talented guitar player, a history enthusiast, avid reader, and the most deeply devoted grandfather.

In addition to his wife, surviving are two daughters, Chelsea Mae Flanery-Yosco and husband Keith, and Amelia Morgan Flanery all of Hamilton Township, PA; two grandchildren, Honey Jeah Yosco (the light of his life) and Everett Thomas Yosco; a sister, Gail Flanery of Brooklyn; and a cousin, Daniel Erchul.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 24th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg, PA with visitation beginning at 2:00PM followed by a memorial service at 3:00PM.

Being that Thomas' father was a devoted Free Mason and Thomas was very proud of the work the Shriners Hospital and Free Mason's did; the family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Philadelphia.
