Thomas Friend Obituary
He was a retired C & O Engineer.
Tom was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on October 9, 1943, the son of the late Violet Friend Hunt.
Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Ward Friend and one brother, Bobby Friend.
He is survived by his son, John Edward Friend (Becky) of Richmond, Kentucky and two daughters, Tina Friend Amos of Pikeville, Kentucky and Constance Nichole Moore of Orlando, Florida.
He is also survived by five grandchildren, Derek Logan Friend, Lucas Bradley Amos, Mia Bella Moore, Logan Oliver and Jessica Peyton Goodwin and seven great-grandchildren, Zoey Dawn Friend, John Aaron Friend, Scarlet Oliver, C.J. Goodwin, Colton Goodwin, Kylee Goodwin and Luke Goodwin.
Visitation will be in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel after 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7:00 p.m.
