Thomas Joseph Galligan

Thomas "Tommy" J. Galligan, 76, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Stephanie G. (Goff) Galligan for 33 loving years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas F. and Elizabeth (Bushell) Galligan.
He was a 1968 graduate of Pilgrim High School, and enlisted in the U.S. Marines right after, where he served in the Vietnam War. Tommy had a passion for cars, going back to his 1970 green Chevrolet Chevelle, up to his 2019 Corvette.
Tommy had a kind and giving heart, and always put his family first. He proudly attended every sporting event and liked to demonstrate his love to his family through his thoughtful gifts and surprises.
He was the beloved father of Michael W. Galligan (wife Marnie), and Ryan T. Galligan (wife Abigail); loving "Pop-Pop" of Macin, Quinn and Reese. He was the brother of Susan Pontes, Annmarie Wesolowski (husband Adam), and Frank A. Galligan (wife Denise), and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
His visitation will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 4-7pm, with a Funeral Service at 7pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI. Tommy will be laid to rest with Military Honors in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Burial will be private.
