Thomas Ross Galloway of Santaquin, UT passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 22nd, 2024. With the help of many sharing news of his disappearance on Facebook, his body was found inside the back seat of his car by a duck hunter in Goshen Canyon on the evening of Sunday, November 24th. In notes to his family, he listed his love and his reasons for deciding to take his life.
Thomas was passionate about a great many things. Among them were Broadway musicals, horror films/TV/books, Acting, Singing, cross-stitch, and literature. He had enough books to fill a public library, enough horror memorabilia to open a scary Smithsonian, and enough pop culture knowledge to qualify as a human IMDB repository. His varied and vibrant interests meant that there was never a shortage of fodder for conversation, debate, and laughs.
Tom's heart burned as a brilliant beacon for the benefit of all; particularly, the marginalized, the disenfranchised, the lost, and the broken. Whatever storms battered the rocky shore of his psyche, Tom's heart shone like a lighthouse, guiding the ships of troubled souls to safe harbor.
Thomas is preceded by Kenneth Ross Howes, Ronald Edward Galloway, Destiny Dawn Otte, Debra Ilene Harris, and Loni Giles Reed. He was the second of four children, born on March 15th, 1994, to Michelle Howes Galloway and David Scott Galloway.
He is survived by his beloved husband Joshua Bills, his parents, older brother Joshua David, younger brother Samuel Robert, and younger sister Hannah Sarah. He is also survived by his grandmothers Mauri Rollins Galloway and Sharon Gardner Howes.
The Galloway family would like to recognize Tom's legacy as one of acceptance, joy, and – most importantly – of love. Love supersedes all races, genders, creeds and cultures. Love is the great unifier. It is surely Love that afforded us the gift of thirty beautiful years with the precious soul that is Thomas Ross Galloway.
The Galloways and Mr. Bills would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Santaquin Police Department for their sensitivity and care during this trying time, Officer Moore and Detective Wall, especially.
A Celebration of life will be held December 7th, 2024 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy, South Jordan, Utah 84095 starting at 11 am until 2 pm. There will be an open mic for anyone who wants to share memories and stories of Thomas.

"There will be Light"
Day after day,
We'll find the will to find our way,
Knowing that the darkest sky
Will someday see the sun
When our long night is done...
There will be light
There will be light.
When we open up our lives,
Sons and daughters,
Husbands, wives
And fight that fight
There will be light.
There will be light.
