Thomas E. Gandziarski

1935 - 2025

Thomas E. Gandziarski, 90, of Frazer Township, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, after a brief illness. Born March 20, 1935, in East Deer Township, he was a proud USMC veteran, longtime Frazer resident, and retired foreman from Numec Nuclear Babcox & Wilcox. He was formerly the Buildings & Grounds Supervisor at Deer Lakes School District. Tom was a member of SonRise Community Church, Sarver, and a life member of Allegheny Valley Marine Corps Detachment 827, Springdale. A 1954 graduate of East Deer Frazier High School, Tom was a passionate sportsman who enjoyed football, basketball, bowling, golf, and cheering on Pittsburgh teams. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ann (Madera); children, Michael, Stephanie (Peter) Hart, and Catherine (Dean) Hornsby; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one on the way; and siblings, Verley Baker and Gerald Gandziarski. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at DUSTER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Marine Corp honors at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. A service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, with Pastor John E. Neyman Jr. officiating, at Duster Funeral Home.
