Thomas Ginolfi Obituary

Thomas Ginolfi
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Thomas Patrick Ginolfi born in Stamford, CT on March 12th, 1961. He passed peacefully on September 18th, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with ALS at the age of 61. He fought this disease with dignity and grace. Tom left this world surrounded by his loving family with his favorite songs playing softly in the background. His wit, sense of humor, fighting spirit, love of nature, his garden, music and devotion to the New York Yankees will stay with us forever. His family and friends meant the world to him, as well as his incredible and beautiful art work that he found so much joy in sharing with you all.
He was predeceased by his father Patrick Ginolfi. He is survived by his mother Jean Mackenzie Ginolfi, his sister Lori Defelice, husband Al (Beezer), nieces Sara, Trisha and Alison, brother Andy Ginolfi, nieces Kady and Maria, brother Dan Ginolfi, wife Georgette, niece Charlotte and nephew Daniel. Also survived by loving aunts and uncles, Cathy Jaeger, husband Alan, Michael Ginolfi, wife Peggy and aunt Rose Ginolfi.
The Ginolfi family would like to extend their immense gratitude to those who have been through this journey with us. Including those from Sterling Care, especially Rose, Nadage and Carolyn. We would also like to thank the girls from the ALS Foundation, Chris from Compassionate Care ALS and of course, Nereida.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 21 from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. with a service held at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ALS Connecticut Chapter, 4 Oxford Rd. Suite E4, Milford, CT 06460 or Compassionate Care, 17 Chase Rd., Falmouth, MA 02540.

my deepest condolences for your loss. I remember Tom from way back in 7th grade. he was an amazing boy in school, a fun kid to hang around. Gael Hansel was one of my dearest friends from grade school, when she passed I received one of Tom's artwork. I will treasure it.

I first met Tommy when I asked if I could use some of his paintings in my needlepoint design. He shared so generously and patiently helped me go through his flowers. He would not influence my choices no matter what I asked. This is the first project I did of his work. I'm going to miss our conversations about me our creative interests. My love to his family.

As I sit here thinking about Tommy all I can say is what it is to know someone who is so incredibly special his love for life for friends for family and his incredible sensitivity towards every single person is nothing short of a blessing I have a little thoughts of his amazing art in my house and I look at them and they regenerate the love that he possessed Tommy you are so special you are resting at the hands of Jesus right now totally healed and at peace all of my love Liz
