Thomas Michael Giovangnoli

Thomas Michael Giovangnoli, 74, of Rootstown passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Danbury Senior Living in Tallmadge, Ohio. Tom was born December 4, 1948 in Akron, Ohio to the late Donald P. and Elsie H. (Serfilippi) Giovangnoli. He lived in Rootstown the past 21 years and was a former resident of Stow and Kent. Tom was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Ravenna Knights of Columbus. Mr. G touched the lives of students, staff and families in three school districts: Field Local, Waterloo and Streetsboro. His love of education was evident throughout his career as a teacher, middle school and high school principal and superintendent. Tom's leadership was evident in his voice and practice culminating with the passage of a bond issue to build a new high school in Streetsboro. He also had a love for golf, where he enjoyed many rounds with his family and friends. Survivors include, his wife Victoria A. (Bolharsky) Giovangnoli whom he married March 30, 1985, children, Natalie (John) Majorkiewicz, Allan (Samantha) Derby, Melissa (Phil) Luthman, and Stephanie (Noah) Miller; grandchrildren, Trenton, Marissa, Lauren, Alexandria, Samuel, Madeline, Rachel, Catherine and Daniel. Tom's family would like to thank both Danbury Memory Care and Southern Care Hospice for their care and compassion. Memorial calling hours will be 5-7 PM Thursday January 12, 2023 st the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Ravenna Chapel and on Friday January 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM unitl time of the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, Ravenna, Ohio.
