I got to know Father (a little) when I moved to Williamsburg on the River in 2018. He would walk his dog Boomer in our neighborhood. I loved his dry wit. I have a dog whose name is Diego, but he would call him San Diego! He didn´t seem to like small talk, but I always felt he liked seeing me and my dog on his walks.

My Principal for at least two years at St. Wendelin. I cannot remember Father, just his name and face. I am very grateful to have hone to a Catholic school and we needed a principal. It was a time when all the teachers were lay teachers. From one year to the next. He was about 40 years old at the time. I am happy to hear he made it to the age of 90. May God be good to all of us. I do not know who kept the faith in our class. I know we were only about 75 from a high of 140 in Grade school. May God help us all to remain Catholic. I am. Peace.

I enjoyed Fr. Gorman's sermons, he had a great way of pulling multiple topics together into a common theme, it was very engaging.

What a wonderful person and friend! I was fortunate to work for and with Fr. Tom at St John's, Delphos, Ohio. The job was the most worthwhile and I have fond memories of so many parishioners that I worked with during my 15 years there. I want to extend my thought and prayers to Julie and family, Sr Breta, fond memories of Rita and all his extended family. Peace and love, Trina Shultz.

The service today was just beautiful. I was so sad but everyone was so kind and lifted me up. Fr. Tom was the best and I (and sounds like lots of others ) will miss him dearly. Prayers for all his family and Gods blessing on you all.

My daughter was in high school, and was asked to read the readings during Mass. The readings happened to be Corinthians 13: 4-8 that day about love, etc. Father was so moved by her expression of Scripture that he sent her flowers to school! Such a thoughtful and beautiful gesture by him!

Fr Gordon made my senior HS year the best. He treated us like the adults he wanted us to be. Good man. Better than most. Not forgotten.

He was truly one of a kind. He and my mom were first cousins. Our families gathered a lot and often revolved around a Catholic service of some kind. I remember once at a family reunion he said Mass at the park that afternoon. I can't tell how many times I heard someone in our family ask "I wonder if Fr. Tom will be there?" So special. I still remember him bringing Aunt Rita over to see Mom when she got sick. He was so loved and will be remembered always.

One Sunday morning before mass Fr. Gorman asked if we would let him bring our infant son to an elderly, women across the aisle. He said she loved babies and it would make her day. He brought our son over to her and she had the biggest smile. Such a simple yet meaningful exchange. Oh yes his dog was always with him even in the back of church. May he rest in peace.

To Father's family members...please know he and all of you are in my thoughts and prayers at this emotional time. I remember him from both times he was in residence at Delphos St. John's. He always had a smile for us "kids". He was the only one I can remember having a pet at the rectory. He and Fr. Quinville tried to keep the pigeon population down in the 1950-60's. What memories those are. Such a pleasant person he was both as a priest and great human being.

When my "uncle" Renato "Reno" Bianchi passed Fr. Gorman celebrated his funeral. During the serman he quoted Dante's "Inferno" in native Italian, much to the delight of Reno's sister. The man could certainly spin a tale.

Standing in the hallway on the second floor at Central Catholic in Toledo, Father Gorman was so in grossed looking out window at a tree that he did not hear me approach. When I inquired what he was doing, he greeted me with a big smile and told me he was enjoying natural and how beautiful God´s creatures were! He said , "watch , look at those squirrels! Aren´t they beautiful at play! " I kinda got the stink eye and then a smell from father when I replied how tasty they may be for a meal. I was a hunter. Father took out a little note book and said he was making a note of this and may write about it or make it part of a sermon. What a great guy/ priest! Rest in peace with gods creatures and family. When I worked at Wood County Hospital, Fr. Gorman was one of the spiritual leaders who made himself available to "any one" in need of guidance regardless of their church affiliation. He also was so kind and caring towards the staff. I feel fortunate to have known him. Rae Thomson

I was a 6th grader at Fostoria St. Wendelin, and Fr. Tom would always come out on the playground at Noon to watch us play kickball. He would call me " Super Kid ", I also enjoyed his homilies.

I remember traveling from Kentucky to visit family and totally looking forward to FatherGormans masses. They were always so moving and gave us so much to explore throughout the week. When he baptized our youngest son at the Jones´ it was the most beautiful service!! He involved everyone there! He definitely had his own way!!
