Thomas "Hack" A. Hakim, Jr.
Age 70, peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, of Bon Air. Loving Husband of Kimberly Hakim. Devoted Father of Thomas A. Hakim III and Brendan Garvey. Proud Pap Pap of Landon and Lilyanna. Son of the late Thomas and Lillian Hakim. Brother of Ed (Christa) Miller, Betty Lee (Ed) Hanscak and Susan (Bob) Rife. Also survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many dear friends. Tom worked in the Security Division of PPG Paints Arena. Also was assistant director of Moon Township Public Works. Visitations Saturday 1-4 and 5 until the time of Services at 7:30 PM. at the Boron Funeral Home Inc., 1719 Brownsville Road. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 106 Merchant Lane, Pittsburgh, Pa 15205

So sorry to hear about Tom, I knew him by Shoon, which his father called him. He always looked out and protected the younger kids in the neighborhood. A Skyview guy from start to finish.

I am deeply saddened to hear this. I´ve worked with Tom, at the arena, for more than a decade. I had no idea that he was battling cancer. Greatest guy ever! He always went out of his way to greet me with a huge smile (you know the one), and a hearty handshake. We sometimes would "bs" over a beer, after work. I will miss that! To his family: please know that the amazing human being that you knew, was the same with co-workers, friends and even strangers! Rest in peace my friend.
