Thomas A. Hanson, age 72, beloved husband for 36 years of Diane (nee Honsaker); loving father of Brad (wife Megan), Ashley Maggard (husband Kyle), Nick (wife Katie), and Sarah Mariposa; devoted grandfather of Ryder, Myles, Eliza, Lillian, Harlow, soon to be baby Parker and baby girl Hanson and Walter; cherished son of the late William and Kathryn (nee Everiss); dearest brother of Linda Beer (husband Larry), Bill (husband Kaholo) and Ric (wife Tamia); cherished son-in-law of Jerry and the late Dorothy Honsaker; treasured brother-in-law of Lou Ann Honsaker and Jay Honsaker (partner Tina); dear uncle and great-uncle and friend of many.
Tom was born in Cleveland on November 29, 1951, and passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2024. He was a 1970 graduate of Mayfield High School and a long-time resident of Bainbridge Township. Tom owned his own carpentry business, was a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Orange Village, and a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He loved fishing, boating, golfing, and most importantly spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Tom's loving family will always remember him for being a kind and caring soul who was hard-working, selfless, and full of life. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Tom at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) on TUESDAY, MAY 21 from 3:00-7:00PM. Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7pm.
