We are so sorry for your loss. The obituary was not in the local newspapers up here in New Martinsville WV, I'm sorry to say. Stanley was a good friend as Tom and he grew up and played ball together. He will be remembered and missed by so many friends from his hometown. God bless all the family and friends left behind. Until we meet again, no pain or limitations in heaven.

Tommy was a friend and teammate in high school and post graduate. He was always the best guy on the team, and someone to admire. He always got so much out of himself. May God rest and keep him, and may the perpetual light shine upon him.

RIP Tommy,

I was honored to have met Thomas in the Hospital, and a few times at his home. I met Thomas on a visitation request from his daughter Carrie, along with bro. Jody Matney, as the gospel of Jesus Christ was presented to him and after a little bit of small talk, bro. Thomas accepted The Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour. I remember him smiling afterwards and saying how better he felt. Sister Carrie I'm sorry for the loss of your Dad and for not being there for you, but I am praying for you and your family that The Lord will comfort you in this time of need. Thank you also Carrie for bringing me in the path of Thomas. He will always be a memory and a blessing to me. May God bless you & your family.

My time with Tommy goes way back. From playing high school and Legion baseball against each other, to FSC vs GSC and days coaching in Tyler, Wetzels and Ritchie counties What a great guy and it breaks my heart to hear this.

Coach Haught was a good influence on my young boys, playing football at Tyler County High School. He was very much respected for his fairness and leadership. I felt that my boys, Artie and Billy Sherrill, had a friend in him. Rest in peace, Coach.

Tom was such a great athlete at Magnolia and excelled in every sport in which he participated. He dated a friend--one of my co-workers at DQ-- and I have fond memories of him. I can't remember a single person who didn't like him. I reconnected with him on Facebook. Blessings to his family and all who will miss him.

Tommy was a sweet kind person friends to all he knew his mom and I were good friends and Tom was just like her, glad I got to see him at our class reunion. Rest in peace my friend.

I'll always remember Tom as one of the most gifted athletes I ever payed with at Magnolia H.S. Good times with him on the football and baseball teams. Our prayers and thoughts are with Tom's family- especially at this time of year.

Tom and I were highschool friends and teammates. Although we lost touch with each other over the years I have always had fond memories of our times together. Meeting and spending a few days together at our 50th highschool reunion was a special time with Tom. He will be deeply missed by Nancy and I.
