The class of 1957 from Henry Clay High had an afternoon brunch yesterday, Nov. 30, at Ramsey's Diner on Harrodsburg Rd.. One of the attendees let us all know about Tom's passing, a real shock to me and others, as I had been trying to reach him to invite him to our meeting. His obituary details say it all, but I will just add I will always cherish his friendship, and trust that the Good Lord will fill his family's hearts with nothing but the good memories. RIP friend Tom.

So sad to hear this news about Tom. Tight hugs and prayers go to Mary from Alison and I. We so enjoyed our times with you... at UK basketball games, as guests in your home and, of course, with Tom on the golf course. I will forever be touched by Tom's vision and positive way and will be ever grateful for the opportunity to have know him and partnered with him. Rest in Peace, Tom.

What can I say about this dear man? The obituary did such a wonderful job of describing the kind of person he was. One of moral character, soul mate to Mary and devoted father and grandfather. Wise business man and yet had a creative side. He appreciated the beauty of Gods creation that he would so often recreate on canvas. "She Aint Heavy"was my favorite Christmas card and painting and it still hangs on my bulletin board since it was sent to me. Mary my heart so hurts for you. What an example you both set as a loving a devoted couple. I feel so privledged to have had to opportunity to get know you both over the years. Tom was just so special and I am going to miss him terribly. Love and prayers to your family!

I met Tom while working the summer of 1994 at the Champions. He had begun building his home in village on the green and hired me to clean up around his building site that fall. He was always kind and showed a genuine interest, and we had many conversations years later when our paths crossed. My last conversation was with he and Mary at the 2021 Barbasol event. Praying for peace in the heart's of your family Tom. Well done, good and faithful servant!
