Thinking about when mom, dad, Tom and Catherine and and I were at Dale Hollow on the houseboat. Tom had showed me how to make the snorkel mask, not fog up, by taking the oil from the side of your nose and rubbing it in the mask. And the four of them playing poker. And when mom was making a pineapple upside down cake and the oven caught on fire and poor Tom happened to be on the toilet at the time everybody yelled fire. The fire was small and no damage lol.
Great memories

My fondest memories of Tom were boating. Especially when we rented the house boat at Dale Hallow. He was such a kind hearted man. He would leave the raccoons food so they would stay out of his trash cans. And what a wonderful sense of humor. The world has truly lost a incredible, witty, innovative, loving man. He was like a dad to me and I am blessed he was in my life. Thoughts and prayers to the Helwig family.
