The Lambert family was close to the
Herberts. Even though it has been years
since I have lived in Richmond I still
remember your Father from Spotteswood Park. I am sending up prayers for you and your entire family during this time.

Billy
I will always remember your father as a kind and thoughtful man to all who lived around him. Your family were great neighbors in Spotswood Park. He will long be remembered for the many kind acts to people. Consolances to all your family.

Hey Cuz, Just saw the notice about Tom. He had a way of turning up when least expected and visiting with him was always a growth experience. Your Dad was one of our favorite people and we will miss knowing he's around.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Tom would write my parents, Ruth & Charlie Langhorne, the most witty letters. We would often stop at the Warsaw store on our way from Richmond to Coles Point. Tom will be sorely missed by a lot of people. Corinne Langhorne Geras ( I painted the portrait , of Ashley YEARS ago.)

Oh, Billy, I just this moment saw this news about your dad. I am so, so sorry. I adored your dad with that crazy sense of humor he had. As I sit here, the first memory that comes to mind is the very first meeting when I was in the 10th grade. You and I walked into the den and there was your dad, in a chair, with his back to us. You said, "Dad, I want you to meet a friend of mine.....", and he turned around so seriously and said, "I'm very happy to meet you, Jenny". And with that, the fake nose, glasses, and eyeballs began to shake. That was most certainly Tom Herbert and at that moment I was ready to adopt him myself. I loved your Dad, Bill, and your Mom, and Tommy, and Marianne. All of them were like home to me. Especially you. You, my dearest friend. So know that I am thinking of you and Kathy today and am sending loving prayers for all of you, past and present, and will keep those prayers in my heart forever.
Love from your old friend,
Jenny
