My family spent many a weekend with the Hess family having a great, fun time. I spent many nights staying at their house having fun with Tom. He was a great guy and will be missed by many.

I was so sad to hear about Tom´s passing. I grew up in Crystal City hanging out with the Hesses. Our dad´s were first cousins. I was younger and hung out with Christina but Tom was always so nice to me. Sending love and hugs!

Tom, you were always like a big brother to me when the cousins got together; the life of the party who looked out for any wallflowers needing assistance joining in on the fun. Fun, yes that you were.

You took John under your wing even as he brought you on board & introduced us to your special girl he dubbed "noodles". Know that I look back fondly on that time 45 years ago as if it were yesterday.

A tree or a grove of oaks will be planted in your honor.

My endearing memory of my cousin Tom was when he played Cream's Disraeli Gears in the summer of 1968 for me. My journey through life changed that summer. Thanks Tom for that memory. Drinking a beer in your honor.

The first time I heard one of my favorite songs (Rocky Raccoon) was Tom playing guitar and singing it. He could always make me laugh.

So sorry to learn of Tommy´s passing. Just heard the week before Christmas that he was ill. His father and my father, Jim Commerford were first cousins. We spent our childhood at family gatherings. Prayers from the Commerford-side of his family. Norma (Kay) Commerfod Overberg, Festus, Missouri.
