Thomas Garland Holland, 70, of Conover passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Conover Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born August 4, 1950 in Hickory, NC, he was the son of the late Richard "Buster" Henning Holland and Mary Shell Holland.In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by a brother, Charles David Holland.
A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church as a child, Tommy grew up avidly hunting and fishing. He attended Hickory High School (1969 graduate) and Catawba Valley Community College - Engineering. He worked at the family business throughout his career estimating and contracting with Holland Glass Company, until later starting Holland Contract Glazing until retirement.
Tommy leaves behind his son, Thomas "Hyder" Holland and partner Drinda Hensley of Hickory; their daughter, Zola Ilene Holland; his son, Edwin James Holland and wife Lauren of Concord; their daughter, Chesney James Holland; his brother, Richard "Ricky" Henning Holland and wife Robin; their daughter, Abbey Holland Osborne and husband Caleb; and his sister, Mary Catherine Holland.
Per his request, there are no services scheduled at this time. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
