Thomas Maurice Jackson, age 66 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at AdventHealth Gordon.
Tom was born on December 4, 1957 in New Orleans, LA, the son of the late James M. Jackson and Marylyn Hodgson Jackson. Tom was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by Shaw Industries, and in his spare time enjoyed bowling and white-water rafting. Tom loved his dog.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Lola Rich Jackson; his sons, Thomas M. “TJ” Jackson Jr, Danny Quiroz; daughter Debbie (Ted) Maddox; his grandchildren, Taletha, Blake, Brandy (Sean), Jose (Brent), Ruben (Katrina), Carlos (Kayla), Nick, and Rick; his great-grandchildren, Blake, Trapper, Taelynn, Elijah, Jeremy, Jariah, Jentzen, and Amelia; his twin sister, Tammy (Glenn) Semel; his brother, Tim Jackson; His brothers-and- sisters-in-law, Lyman (Charlotte) Rich, Tate (Cathy) Rich, Judy (Joe) Schendel; other loving family members and friends. Along with his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a son, David Quiroz, and by his niece, Paula Semel.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 2 PM until 4PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 4 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Parham Hammontree and Carlos Quiroz officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers.
