Thomas Jones Obituary
He was born November 22, 1948, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of David M. Jones and Marie E. (Vetter) Jones.
Tom grew up in Jefferson City attending St. Peter grade school & graduated from Helias High School in 1966. He attended Missouri S&T in Rolla graduating in 1972 with a degree in Civil Engineering and Environmental Field.
He enjoyed a 45-year career in wastewater management.
His off hours were spent in Osage County at the "The Farm."
Tom is survived by his wife, Diedra Volkart; three stepsons, Damon Volkart, Columbia, MO, Darin Volkart, California, MO, Dustin Volkart and one amazing daughter-in-law Valerie Volkart, California, MO; one sister, Betty Markway, and her children Robert & Katie of Jefferson City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Marion Jones and a brother, Robert Jones.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

I just met Tom a couple of months ago. I visited with him at his home and we talked about our lives in the Catholic Church. He was a very kind man and I cherished the time together.
