Thomas L. Jungers passed away on 11/19/2025 in Delta, CO. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 pm-6:00 pm on Monday, November 24, 2025 at The Grove, 1970 South Main Street in Delta, CO.
Tom was born November 21, 1961, in Watertown, SD to Irma Walklin and Francis Jungers. He grew up in Watertown, and graduated from Watertown High School in 1980. He continued his education at NDSU-Bottineau with an Associates of Arts in Parks and Recreation Management.
He met Sandie Durant and they were married on December 31, 1983. They celebrated 41 years together and lived in Watertown, SD for most of their married life. Tom and Sandie made their way to Delta County, making Delta their home in 2010. He was a jack-of-all trades, which led to careers as a park ranger, farmer, landscaper, and warehouse manager.
Tom was known for being kind hearted, generous, and a true connoisseur of dad jokes. He loved unconditionally and lived for adventure. Whether it was hiking, camping, golfing, or exploring the trails on his ATV alongside his wife, Tom lived to the fullest each day. He was a true farmer at heart and enjoyed tinkering around the house and finding creative solutions to any obstacles.
He was a devoted husband and father, who was a pillar of support and generosity. Tom was known for his light-hearted spirit that connected deeply with his loved ones. His grandchildren especially loved his bright, energetic, and silly spirit that resulted in nothing but wonderful memories. His talent in bringing others together will forever be missed, and a lesson for all of us to ensure we carry on his legacy.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sandie of Delta, CO, Nate (Stacy) Jungers of Williston, ND, Jon (Lehua, Tyler, Chi Yun) Jungers of Clifton, CO, and Alicia (Travis) Anderson of Laurel, MT. His brothers Paul (Peggy) Jungers of Watertown, SD, Anthony Jungers of Colorado Springs, CO, his sisters Sharon (Larry) Tschetter of Hitchcock, SD, Carol (Dick) Robinson of Buffalo, MN, and Patricia (Wade) Livingston of Fruita, Co. His grandchildren Sophie, Dillon, and Deacon Jungers and Will and Elsie Anderson.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Michael and David, and his sisters Judy Barbara, and Mary.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
