Thomas Kalis Obituary
Dr. Thomas J. Kalis (Kalisiewicz), youngest son born to and in the home of Jennie and Alexander Kalisiewicz of 614 Hudson Street, Wyandotte, Michigan on April 16, 1937, surrendered and passed peacefully, aged 85 years, during the night of August 17, 2022.
Dr. Kalis lived a life full of accomplishment and was blessed by much and by many. Tom was a second son and a sibling (Jane and Albert), husband (Arlene Sirtola and Marguerite Lybik), father (Thomas II, Mark, Christopher, Paul and Kyle). Grandfather (Joshua, Alex, Ian, Haley, Jillian, Gracie, Gabriel, Gus, Olivia, Christine and Emma). Tom was also a great grandfather (Lillian, Rosa Lee, Alexandria, Christopher, Evie, Bo and Sophia) and avid Uncle to fine nieces and nephews.
Tom Kalis was a jogger and sailor, dancer and bowler, craftsman and tinkerer, athlete and quarterback (Mt. Carmel High, class of 1955). Tom was a tireless student whose drive and diligence made him a dedicated teacher/educator holding Bachelor s and Master s degrees. Tom s education/training culminated in his attaining a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer Chiropractic College and achieving Diplomate certification in Applied Kinesiology.It was here and when that Dr. Tom Kalis found his excellence, his art and his calling. He provided the most meaningful healthcare available; that which is dispensed with love and generosity of heart, intuition and humor of spirit and an abiding mindful kindness. In this, Dr. Thomas J. Kalis had found his sincere and profound gift which he became ever and willing to share and lend, the betterment of health. He will be deeply missed by many loving family and friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 Wesr Road. Visitation will take place Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2550 Edsel, Trenton, MI 48183. In State 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Michigan Parkinson's Foundation or St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tom's honor.

I knew Tom almost 40 years . He was a great person to refer patients in the down river area . I was fortunate to get to know him much better in the last 15 years when met approximately once a month to share stories and exchange treatments . He was truly a dedicated chiropractic physician . He will be missed by his patients . The world was blessed by the presence of Dr Tom . I personally feel honored to call him my friend .
