Thomas O. Kaul, age 67, passed away on Tuesday April 15, 2025, at his home in Shawano. He was born July 24, 1957, in Neenah, Wisconsin to Lucille (Bergener) Kaul and the late Dixon Kaul. On August 26, 1989, he was united in marriage to Mary Kons in First Presbyterian Church in Winneconne, Wisconsin.
Tom worked as a pressman for 40 years at what was once American National Can in Mensasha. In Thomas's free time, he used to enjoy long distance running, listening to music especially Grateful Dead, jazz and old rock. Thomas would create his own playlists for his family and friends. He was known for brewing dark beer and IPA's. Tom was a simple, kind, family man. His sons were his world and always enjoyed Patrick's entertainment. Thomas always appreciated anything anyone did for him. He was able to enjoy his retirement years by spending time with his golden retriever Emma. He was always up for going out to dinner (especially Cranky Pats) and movies with his beloved wife.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary; sons, Jacob (Beka) Kaul and Patrick Kaul; and mother, Lucille; Bill (Luann) Streur, Steve Kons, Fred (Chris) Kons, Norm (Kelle) Kons, Jack Kons, Jolene Kons, David (Cindi Henschel) Kons, Rodney (Margie) Bastin, Peter Kons, Ryan (Amy) Hanson and Joan Kaul. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Thomas is preceded in death by his brothers, James Kaul and William Kaul; father, Dixon; father and mother-in-law Norman and LaVerne Kons, sister-in-laws Diane Kons and Debbi Kons; also golden retrievers, Glory and Brownie.
Celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
