Thomas H. King

Thomas H. King, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on March 12, 1942, Thomas spent his life dedicated to his family and his work as a Route Salesman for Rainbo Baking Company, where he served diligently for 30 years.

A warm-hearted and family-oriented individual, Thomas was a steadfast presence at all his sons' and grandchildren's sporting events, embodying the role of a supportive father and grandparent. He took great pride in his family, which he considered his proudest accomplishment. His commitment to family was matched only by his faith; Thomas attended Mass faithfully every week, demonstrating his deep-rooted values and beliefs.

Thomas was a graduate of St. Lawrence School and Elder High School, where he laid the foundation for his hardworking nature and dedication. Outside of his professional life, he enjoyed various hobbies, including gardening, fantasy football, horse racing, and playing cards, pursuits that brought him joy and enjoyment throughout his life.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Arlene King (nee Bertsch), with whom he shared a beautiful marriage since September 7, 1963. He is also survived by his three cherished sons: Steve (Kimberly) King, Greg (Debbie) King, and Doug (Sonya) King, as well as his beloved grandchildren: Robyn (Nick), Kyle (Abigail) Bailey fiancée, Scott, Katie, Michael, Ethan, Owen, and Avery. His family has been further blessed with two great-grandchildren, Leah Minnelli and Faye King.

In addition to his immediate family, Thomas is survived by his in-laws Maryann and Clarence "Red" Koester, sister-in-law Patricia and Frank Bachman, and brother-in-law James and Joyce Bertsch, along with many nieces and nephews who will dearly miss him.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marcella King, and his brother James King. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A visitation will also take place at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home, 4619 Delhi Rd on February 10, 2025, from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM.

Funeral services to honor Thomas H. King will be held at St. Dominic Church, located at 4551 Delhi Road, Cincinnati, OH 45238. The Mass will begin at 10:00 AM on February 10, 2025, followed by interment at St. Joseph New Cemetery at 11:15 AM. 

As we gather to remember Thomas, we will celebrate a life of dedication to family, unwavering faith, and a passion for life that touched us all.
