Longtime Wilbraham resident, Thomas F. Landers, Jr., 85, died peacefully on March 12, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Dorothy E. (Schelb) Landers and served his country proudly in the US Army Reserves and the Air National Guard. Tom was an electroplater and worked at Fountain Plating in West Springfield for 16 years and for 28 years at Poly Plating in Chicopee until retirement. A faithful communicant of St. Cecilia's Church, Tom worked part-time maintenance for the church after retirement.
Tom was pre-deceased by his parents, his daughter Kelly A. Landers, his siblings - Edward T. Landers, Marjorie Hitchcock, and Dorothea M. Robbins and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 64 years, Judith A. (Vignone) Landers, his children Todd M. Landers (Beverly), Lori A. Landers-Carvalho (Peter) and Kevin E. Landers, grandchildren Collin, Rayah, Aaron, Merissa and Samantha, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Donna and Robert Schoolcraft and many nieces and nephews.
Tom loved tending to his bountiful vegetable garden and beautiful flower gardens. He also enjoyed driving his Jeeps and cheering on his grandchildren at sporting events.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28th from 9:30-10:30 AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Tom's Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia's Church, Wilbraham. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
