Thomas Larkins Obituary

Thomas Henry Larkins, age 94, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at his home.

He was born on September 2, 1930 in Fayette County to the late Frank and Ruby (Rowe) Larkins. He graduated from Greenfield McClain High School. After graduation, Thomas proudly served his county in the United Stated Army where he was stationed in Korea from 1952-1953. He was also a Free & Accepted Mason of Ohio for many years. Tom retired in 1985 from Armco Steel after thirty years of service. He enjoyed working on cars, working on the farm, traveling, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jean (McCoy) Larkins, whom he married on April 14, 1948; son, Roger D. Larkins; and brother, James W. Larkins.

Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Tina Larkins; his special friend, Violet Karnes; and nephew, Richard E. (Jannie) Larkins. Also surviving are several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held at the Walnut Creek Cemetery at a later date.
