Our deepest condolences to Rita and family. We have fond memories of Tom from our chats with him at "bagels". Tom was a kind and gentle soul and one of a kind. He will be greatly missed by all.

My heart is with the Lauer and Burton-Lauer families today. I will always cherish the IL family dinners with Tom providing excellent conversation on so many topics. Great mind, great heart, great person.

Before SGI had it's own center, circa 1985, Tom managed to have OCC allow NSA/SGI members to use the massive gym for monthly Buddhist meetings. People came from many counties to attend services and listen to Dr. Tom Lauer lecture. Literally hundreds of people from all walks of life and all ages. Tom Lauer and Barbara Parzen changed many many lives by insisting that every person focus on their goals thus achieving many goals. My life changed and became almost supernatural by becoming Buddhist. Tom and Rita both as great leaders absolutely made the world a better place My heartfelt condolences. We can take all knowledge to our future lives with nothing experienced here in vain.
