Thomas Millard Lemons

I will always remember our family´s first visit to their home at 14 Orne St. in Marblehead. UncleTom showed us the whole house, from the dirt floor street level basement up to the top of the steep steps leading to the rooftop vantage point that looked out over Marblehead and the harbor. We walked down to the rocky beach to swim, up the hill to a scenic cemetery, and visited a tall ship in the Marblehead Harbor. We ate meals on the patio, we watched their poodle Pepper, " the foolish virgin" romp in the yard, and I remember Uncle Tom warning Dad to maneuver around "the car eating rock " at the bottom of the driveway.
Aunt Priscilla was always a loving hostess with a charming, musical laugh, and a sharp wit. I am happy to have these vivid memories of our family together.
