Thomas Ligas Obituary
He was the son of Walter and Helen (Bunyak) Ligas, born April 19, 1953, in Indiana, PA.
Tom was a graduate of Penns Manor High School class in 1971. He began working for McCreary Tire & Rubber Co in 1972. Nearly forty- eight years later, he retired from what is now known as Specialty Tires of America Inc. Tom was a member of The Church of the Resurrection. Above all, Tom was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his children and grandchildren, whether it was sitting in the bleachers or at one of the many family gatherings at Pappy's house.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Lou (Kirsch) Ligas who he married on December 5, 1975, four children, Jason (Amy) Ligas of Indiana, Tony (Renee) Ligas of Normalville, PA, Stefanie (Josh) Anderson of Creekside, Steve (Erin) Ligas of Commodore, and ten grandchildren, Sydney, Collin, and Camden Anderson, Paxton Ligas, Reed Ligas, Ethan Anderson, Avery Ligas, Austin, Elliotte, and Madison Ligas.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St. Clymer. Tom's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 10 am at St. Patrick's Church, Cameron's Bottom with Fr. Stephen Bugay as celebrant. Interment will be made in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Camerons Bottom.
