Herman is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy, and his son, Danny. He also leaves behind four cherished grandsons: Brody and wife Melissa, Hutch, Dylan, and Tab.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Moore, with whom he shared a loving marriage and welcomed their son, Danny, into the world. Herman was one of four brothers: James Logan Sr. (Carrie), Bill Logan (Polly), and Rhon Logan, and had a sister, Ann Thomas (Phill).
Herman's early years were marked by dedication and service. He attended Charleston schools until he made the decision to enlist in the Navy at the young age of 15.
