Thomas Anthony "Tom" Moczydlowski

Thomas Anthony Moczydlowski passed away on February 16, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. He was born on November 20, 1959, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and moved to Vero Beach, Florida in 1984, where he resided until his passing.

Tom pursued his education at Syracuse University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Journalism, a milestone that profoundly shaped his career path and accomplishments. He dedicated 30 years of his life to the craft of journalism at the Vero Beach Press Journal (later known as Treasure Coast News), covering multiple beats across the Treasure Coast region.

Beyond his reporting, Tom was known for his always-present smile and kindness toward others. He also cherished writing in his spare time, creating numerous short stories, poems, and novels for his own enjoyment, and in his later years, he passionately took up painting.

He is survived by his son, Eric Moczydlowski and his daughter, Rebecca Strasburger. Tom's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Mt. Royal Cemetery in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania on May 2, 2026 at 11 am. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
