Thomas E. Mott, 89, passed away November 2, 2025.
He was born on February 13, 1936, to the late Francis E. and Hermagene Mott in Cleveland, Ohio.
Thomas married his wife, Judith A. Mott on February 9, 1963 and they were married for 60 years before her passing in 2023.
Thomas graduated from College of the Holy Cross. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged after his service. He went on to build a successful career at Ohio Bell, progressing through the company to retire as a data process manager. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom cherished spending time with his family and found joy in traveling with his wife, creating lasting memories together. He dedicated his time to volunteering at his church and was a 20-year volunteer at Southwest Hospital.
He is survived by his children, Daniel (Patricia) Mott, Stephen (Denice) Mott, and Sandra (Michael) Schiess; grandchildren Kevin (Ashley) Mott, Andrea Mott, Hannah (Conner) Mott Robinson, John "Jack" Mott, Samantha Schiess and Rachael Schiess and three great grandchildren.
VISITATION will be held on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2025 from 5PM-7PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, Strongsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2025 at 10AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 16271 Pearl Rd, Strongsville. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park. A gathering will be held for family and friends following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marianist Mission – Mount St. John, 4435 E. Patterson Rd, Dayton OH 45481 or The Monastery of the Poor Clares, 3501 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland OH 44111.
