Thomas Leroy Muller, age 74, of South Bend, passed away on January 5, 2025, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. Tom was born on May 15, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois. He was lovingly welcomed into the family of Phillip and Edith Muller, along with their first son, Erven, when they adopted him in 1952. Later, Tom met the love of his life, Cheryl Kalman and they were married on August 4, 1974. They recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Tom is survived by his wife, Cheryl Muller of South Bend, his brother Erven (Marguerite) Muller of South Bend, his nieces, Laura (Rick) Caraba of Mt. Prospect, Illinois, Tricia (Bryan) Hires of Redondo Beach, California, and Katie (Andy) Diltz of Osceola, along with his nephew, Tim (Tracey) Muller of Wheaton, Illinois. Surviving as well are 12 great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Edith (White) Muller.
Visitation will be held from 10 am-11 am on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Wells and Cruz Family Funeral Home in Mishawaka. Immediately following visitation, a procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church will follow for the Mass of Christian Burial. Tom will be laid to rest at a later date in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
Tom was raised in Chicago and later moved to California, where he enjoyed the warm weather and sunshine. He worked for over 20 years at Masco Corporation, where he took great pride in building products that enhance our homes. Following his retirement in 2019, Tom and Cheryl relocated to South Bend to be closer to family and friends.
