Thomas Nolan Obituary

Thomas served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War, enlisting when he was just 17 years of age. He was a paratrooper and a proud member of the 187 Infantry Regiment, Rakkasans. He was a retired elevator constructor with Local 1, I.U.E.C.
While growing up in The Bronx, Thomas was a parishioner of St. Raymond s Church where he received all of his sacraments, including marriage to his wife, Patricia (nee Hanratty) in June 1959.
In addition to Patricia, he is survived by his daughter, Ann Burt and her husband, Richard of Mahopac; his sons, Thomas and his wife, Christine of Mahopac and Patrick of New Rochelle; his sister, Johanna Gaspari; his brother, Joseph Nolan and his wife, Lorraine; his 10 beloved grandchildren, Shannon, Samantha, Thomas, Kasey, Kaitlin, Courtney, Aileen, Tara Mary, Victoria and Owen as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Catherine in 2004, his brother, William Nolan, his sister, Kathleen Silvia.
Visiting will be held on Sunday, August 28 from 4-8 pm and Monday, August 29 from 3-8 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 30 at 10:45 am at St. Raymond s Church, 1759 Castle Hill Ave., Bronx, NY with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
